Each year officers throughout the State of Maryland participate in a fund raising event for Special Olympics, the Torch Run. The Easton Police Department runs a portion of the race that begins in Ocean City and ends in College Park. The police department begins its run from headquarters and, along with other agencies, carries the torch to the east side of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

This years run took place on June 15, 2007 beginning at 08:00 at the Easton Police Department. Participants received a t-shirt. Refreshments were provided along the course. Food, fun, and refreshments were provided afterwards.
