Tactical
Special Weapons Team personnel are responsible for the prompt response to Hostage/Barricade
and critical incidents, as well as the execution of high risk search and seizure
warrants. Upon the arrival of Tactical personnel, in concert with the Hostage
Negotiation Team, and Duty Commander, they will be responsible for resolving
the situation in the safest manner possible. These officers received initial
entry Tactical Training through the Howard County Police Department and train
on a monthly basis.
