MINUTES OF THE

December 19, 2002

Planning & Zoning Commission

Members Present:         John Atwood, Chairman, and members John White, Chris Brownawell, Linda Cheezum and Dan Swann.

Members Absent:         None.

Staff Present:    Tom Hamilton, Town Planner, Matt Davis, Assistant Town Planner, Mike Kenney, Current Planner and Stacie Sauca, Planning Secretary.

            Mr. Atwood called the meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission to order at 1:00 p.m.  The first item on the agenda was the approval of the November 21st minutes.  Upon motion of Mr. White seconded by Mr. Brownawell the Commission voted 5-0 approve the November 21st minutes. 

            An item which was discussed was the Easton Commons Subdivision. Mr. Gannon is requesting that we extend the preliminary plat approval for another year.  He is currently working with Easton Utilities and the Town Engineer on the Improvement Plans but needs additional time.  Upon motion of Mr. White, seconded by Mr. Brownawell the Commission voted 5-0 to extend the 3 year preliminary plat approval for another year.  Therefore, this approval will be extended through August 31, 2003.     

            The next item was from the staff concerning final plats for Cooke’s Hope, Carroll’s Addition and Bretridge.

            Upon motion of Mr. White, seconded by Mrs. Cheezum the Commission voted 5-0 to give their Chairman permission to sign the final plats for Cooke’s Hope once the Town Engineer has signed.

              Upon motion of Mr.Brownawell, seconded by Mr. Swann the Commission voted 5-0 to give their Chairman permission to sign the final plats for Carroll’s Addition once the Town Engineer has signed.

              Upon motion of Mr.Swann, seconded by Mr. Cheezum the Commission voted 5-0 to give their Chairman permission to sign the final plats for Bretridge once the Town Engineer has signed.

           

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 3:45 p.m. by motion of Mrs. Cheezum, seconded by Mr. Swann.
