Mr. Atwood called the meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission to order at 1:00 p.m.  The first order of business was the approval of the June 17th minutes.  Upon motion of Mr. Brownawell, seconded by Mr. Swann the Commission voted 4-0 to approve the May minutes.

The first item discussed was 114 Bay Street requesting sketch site plan review for a 3 story office building.  This was tabled from the June 15th Planning & Zoning meeting as the Commission asked the applicant to revise the architecture of the building.  The applicant’s architect, Paul Thompson showed the Commission a revised rendering of the building.  The Commission was pleased with the revised architecture.  Mr. Thompson explained that there would be sidewalks around the perimeter of the building. Mr. Brownawell liked the project and felt it really complemented downtown Easton.  Upon motion of Mr. Swann, seconded by Mr. Brownawell the Commission voted 4-0 to approve the sketch site plan.

Mr. Davis informed the Commission that the Talbot County Planning Commission was having public hearing that afternoon and evening on their Comprehensive Plan.  He stated that an initial review of the document appeared very consistent with Easton’s plan. A few suggested changes to the Zoning Ordinance were discussed.  Staff will make the changes fo the Commission to review in draft form.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 1:30 p.m. by motion of Mr. Swann, seconded by Mr. Moore.

Respectfully submitted,
