I wanted to write in support of lifting the moratorium. I feel and have
expressed this to Tom Hamilton that Easton should have an enclosed mall
rather than to have shopping centers spread from one end of town to the
other. I would prefer doing my shopping locally but I'm unable because of
the lack selection that is available. If a marketer wants to come to town
and build a large store to provide what the buying public wants then they
shoud be allowed to do so.
All you have to do is look at the earnings per share of Lowe's or Home Depot
and it's easy to figure out that these types of companies are not going to
spend money on anything that won't give a return. Easton's going to grow
and I think the Town Council should realize this and make sure they control
it and not stick their head in the sand.
Thanks,
