Subject: Additional stores in Easton

Importance: High

I would like to express my desire for additional shopping facilities in

Easton.

As one of many residents of Talbot County who not only live here, but also

work here, I don't have the luxury of being able to take a day during the

week, to drive an hour plus to either Dover, Annapolis, or Salisbury to do

my shopping (since we are limited on choices here). I try and use my lunch

time for this purpose so I don't spend my weekends that way. Most of the,

my weekends are usually spent cleaning or doing things around my home.

Easton is very limited in the shopping selection, especially for the working

population. I was very excited when I heard Penney's was going to open a

bigger store; however, was disappointed when I saw what they had to offer.

I had better luck when they were in Talbottown.

If Wal-Mart hadn't come to town, I'd be spending most of my time travelling

long-distances.

The Town needs to take a good look at what is here and consider the needs of

the working individuals. Not all of us are fortunate enough to be retired

yet and have the flexibility of being able to go shopping just for something

to do; we do it out of necessity.

Please take a good look at your decision regarding this issue. Let's keep

the money spent in other towns in Easton.

Thank you -
