Re: Growth/Big Box October 29, 1999

My views on growth/development has been both broadened and reinforced through years of service to both our Town and County governments. And in addition, as a resident who utilizes both town and county services. Now, more than ever, a conservative approach is essential. Continue to move slowly.

It has taken a long time, but at last the general public is aware and participating in the issue of commercial development. Officials need to continue to work with citizens, existing businesses and governments (municipal, county and state), to insure the resolutions of traffic, quality of roads and quality of our natural resources.

As elected officials, you are both the final decision makers and pace setters. You have done well in being inclusive of groups and citizens in your deliberations. I wish each of you strength as you individually work through the discernment process. GO VERY SLOWLY!
