Easton Memorial Walk Project

The Memorial Walk Project is a project that Mayor Willey has initiated to honor police, fire rescue and military personnel of Talbot County. It will also memorialize the location of the former Easton Gas Plant (one of the first in this country) at the location of the corner of Dover and West Sts. The concept is for the emblems of each (19) organizations to be etched into a granite seat wall with the inscription “Your service is not forgotten” to be etched into the seat back. There will be individual bricks for sale that will be set to honor individuals who are deceased in the foreground and down both sidewalks in each direction if necessary. A dedication onNov. 24, 11:00 AM is anticipated to unveil the project.
