Lt. Michael E. Henry began his career with the Easton Police Department in 1986 after serving with the Talbot County Sheriffs Office Division of Correction for one and a half years. Once joining the Easton Police Department, Lt. Henry worked his way through the ranks, working as a patrol officer, detective, crime prevention officer, patrol supervisor, night commander, and currently serves as the Administrative Division Commander.
Lt. Henry has been assigned as a crime prevention officer, field training officer, accident re-constructionist, Quartermaster and Honor Guard Commander for the Department. Lt. Henry currently oversees the Records Management and Property and Evidence sections; Honor Guard; and Information Technology.
Lt. Henry is a graduate of Easton High School and a 2000 graduate of Chesapeake College, having received an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. Lt. Henry is also a graduate of the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development School.
Lt. Henry recently attended the FBI National Academy, 228th Session, graduating in March 2007.
Lt. Henry has received many awards over the course of his career, including "Officer of the Year" in 1998, Chief's Award, Lifesaving Award and several Unit Citations.
