CONVENING

At 6:30 p.m., the President of the Council, Mr. Ford called the meeting to order.

WORKSHOP

Mr. Matt Allen did a brief overview of where we are now in regards to the east/west connector road. He discussed the February 21 informational meeting and why the Council is continuing discussions for the road. Mr. Allen discussed the planning and design phases of the project and the need analysis. Mr. Allen introduced Mr. Raymond Moravec who would actually design the road.

Discussion occurred regarding what the costs would be to get to the planning and design stage as well as a preliminary estimate for the cost of the road. Mr. Allen stated that it is anticipated that the cost of services to complete transportation planning for the east-west connector will be approximately $285,000 and that the planning and design could be accomplished and updated every three years. He explained that the road could be built in increments.

Mayor Willey stated that further discussion will occur during the November 13 workshop when all projects in the Town of Easton’s forecast will be evaluated.

The President of the Council adjourned the regularly scheduled meeting at 8:00 p.m.
