Assistant to the Town Engineer Mr. Hause, Mr. Hamilton, Town Planner; Mr. Lynn Thomas, Long Range Planner, Mr. Zach Smith, Current Planner, Planning and Zoning Commission members: Chairman Mr. John Atwood, Ms. Linda Cheezum, Mr. John Sener, Mr. Tom Moore and Ms. Ruf for the Town Clerk.

 

CONVENING

 

At 6:14 p.m., the President of the Council called the meeting to order.

 

WORKSHOP

 

Mr. Ford discussed the workshop format, the next steps and the timetable.

 

Contiguous property notification was discussed. It was the consensus to notify property owners by Certified Mail within 400’ at the sketch plan level with the notification responsibility belonging to the applicant and the address list supplied by Town staff.

 

The Planning and Zoning department recommends keeping Open Space requirements unchanged at 30% from current zoning ordinance.

 

Discussion occurred regarding CR residential density and requested zoning changes.

 

The Planning and Zoning Department recommended “anti-monotony” regulations with four dwelling units per acre in R10A zone.

 

Discussion occurred regarding growth rate controls.

 

Mr. Sener departed at 7:05 p.m.

 

Mr. Smith departed at 7:24 p.m.

 

ADJOURNMENT

 

There being no further business, Mr. Ford adjourned the workshop at 7:41 p.m.
