Also in attendance was Town Clerk Mr. Robert Karge.
At 5:00 p.m., the President of the Council called the meeting to order.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Upon motion by Mr. Wendowski seconded by Mrs. Scott Taylor and carried unanimously by those members present, the President of the Council convened the meeting into Executive Session to discuss personnel.
Mrs. Scott-Taylor made a motion to adjourn the Executive Session seconded by Ms. Jackson-Amis and carried unanimously.
MAYOR WILLEY RECOMMENDS CHIEF OF POLICE
Mayor Willey recommended the appointment of Captain Melbourne (Ben) Blue for the Chief of Police of Easton Police Department.
Mrs. Jackson-Amis made a motion to waive the normal notice requirement of 20 days seconded by Mrs. Scott-Taylor and carried unanimously.
Mrs. Scott-Taylor made a motion to accept the Mayor’s recommendation to appoint Captain Blue as the Chief of Police for Easton Police Department seconded by Mr. Wendowski and carried unanimously.
The Town Attorney asked the reporter for Star Democrat to give the Mayor and Council an hour to contact Captain Blue and Captain Spencer.
ADJOURNMENT
Upon motion by Mrs. Scott-Taylor seconded by Mrs. Jackson-Amis and carried unanimously; the President of the Council adjourned the special Council meeting at 5:25 p.m.
