TOWN OF EASTON, MARYLAND CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION

TIME & PLACE: 6:20 P.M., April 15, 2002, Easton Town Council Chambers.

PURPOSE: Consider a matter that concerns the proposal for a business or industrial organization to locate, expand, or remain in the state.

VOTE TO CLOSE: Unanimous

CITATION: State of Maryland Annotated Code, Section 10-508(a)(4).

PRESENT: Council President R. Willey, Council members J. Ford, S. Jensen, C. Reed, M. Jackson-Amis, Mayor C. Eugene Butler, Town Attorney C. Kehoe, Assistant Town Attorney S. VanEmburgh and Economic Development Director Alexander Bond. Town Engineer joined the meeting at 6:22 P.M.

The Town Attorney discussed the legal basis to attract or retain existing businesses.

Discussion occurred regarding issues and options.

The President of the Council declared the meeting adjourned at 6:55 P.M.
