SPECIAL MEETING

October 17, 2000

The Town Council of the Town of Easton met today at 7:00 P.M. in a special meeting. The meeting was called to order with the following members present: President of the Council Mr. Willey, Mr. Ford and Mr. Heinmuller. Also attending the meeting were Mayor C. Eugene Butler, Chief Harvey and Assistant Town Attorney Ms. Sharon VanEmburgh.

Racism concerns were discussed.

Members of the audience recounted a number of incidents.

It was the consensus of those present to explore the possibility of establishing a Human Relations Commission to address Town of Easton citizens’ concerns.
