TOWN OF EASTON, MARYLAND CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION
TIME & PLACE: 8:26 P.M., August 21, 2000, Easton Town Council Chambers.
PURPOSE: To consider a matter that concerns the proposal for a business or industrial organization to locate, expand, or remain in the State.
VOTE TO CLOSE: Unanimous
CITATION: State of Maryland Annotated Code, Section 10-508(a)(4).
PRESENT: Council President R. Willey, Council members J. Ford, G. Mayer, C. Reed, H. Hoyt Heinmuller, Mayor C. Butler, Town Engineer T. Glass and Town Attorney C. Kehoe.
Mayor Butler discussed a proposed housing project.
The Town Attorney clarified what the states requirements would be for the project.
Discussion occurred regarding the location and questioned the appropriateness of the project at that site due to recent growth and development studies.
The consensus of the Council was that this project does not have any value to the Town at this time.
The Town Attorney discussed an offer to sell public property.
The President of the Council declared the meeting adjourned at 8:59 P.M.
