SPECIAL MEETING

December 4, 1997

The Town Council of the Town of Easton met today in Open Session at 6:30 P.M. The meeting was called to order by the President with the following members present: Mr. Ford and Mrs. Clem. Also attending the meeting were the Mayor and the auditors from Beatty & Satchell LLC, Mr. Stephen Osche, Ms. Martha Detwiller and Mr. Lee Cook.

Mr. Osche briefed the Council on the operating results of the Town of Easton for the Fiscal Year ended June 30, 1997.

Mr. Mayer joined the meeting at 6:32 P.M.

Mr. Osche pointed out various items as did Ms. Detwiller for the Council's information. They stated that there were no findings and no management letter was issued.

Discussion occurred on the inclusion of bad debt expense as an item of budget.

The auditors from Beatty & Satchell LLC departed the meeting and the Town Clerk briefed on the proposed costing of the HTE software and hardware computer solution which would serve all departments of the Town. The Town Clerk briefed the Council on possible funding scenarios. Discussion followed on the cost aspect.

There being no further business, the President of the Council declared the meeting adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
