Regulations from the state of Maryland require all municipalties with planning and zoning powers to enact and enforce minimum livability standards. In response to this mandate the Easton Town Council created a Rental Housing program. Under this program, owners of Rental properties within the Town of Easton are required to apply for a Rental Housing License and pay a fee of $25.00 per unit per year. Rental units will undergo periodic inspections to assure compliance with the Town of Easton Housing Code (Chapter 11, Article I) and the International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) and various amendments as approved by the Town Council.
