ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
It would be impossible to complete a process like Visioning without the help of an awful lot of people. As was already mentioned, literally hundreds of people helped in some way to create this document outlining our collective image of Easton's future. We are truly grateful to each and every one of these people.
Some of the individuals involved in this process contributed so much that they deserve recognition and a very special thank you. The most intense portion of the Visioning process were the Town Planning Workshops. As a result of these two gatherings, the input of over 150 people was collected. Without the assistance of the following individuals, it would not have been possible to receive this valuable source of information:

It is not possible to say thank you to these individuals enough. Without their help, this would be a very different plan.
Thanks are also extended to the students and educators who helped us to gather the ideas of the youth of our community in a meaningful (and hopefully interesting) way. Special thanks to Kelly Griffith, Principal (at the time) of Easton Middle School for helping with the development of our Essay and Poster contest. Thanks and congratulations to the winners of that contest: Lacey Finkner (First Place), Ashley White (Second Place), and Amy Willis (Third Place).
A very special thanks is extended to Eric Fisher of the Easton Star-Democrat. Not only did Eric help as a member of the Visioning Committee, but his fair and favorable coverage throughout the process was invaluable in stimulating interest in the development of this Plan. It is impossible to tell how many people would have attended the Town Planning Workshops without Eric's stories to heighten interest in this event. The Plan reflects a larger percentage of the community in large part because of Eric Fisher.
Through a portion of the development of this Plan, assistance, particularly in compiling the many comments from students and the public at large, was provided by Dana Sindermann. At the time, Dana was a student at Salisibury State University majoring in Geography and Regional Planning. He approached the Town and offered to complete an internship here and much of his work involved this Plan. Our thanks to Salisbury State University and to Dana for providing us this valuable help.
Thank you also to all those who attended the Town Planning Workshops and who stuck with us through the year-long process of preparing for this meeting and analyzing what we heard. As a result we have a Plan that reflects the wishes and ideas of those who actually live in, work in, shop in, or visit Easton. That was our goal when we started. Thank you for helping to make it a reality.
Finally, a note about the chapter dividers used in this Plan. The reverse sides of these dividers represent all of the input that we received throughout the Visioning Process. Some are copies of some of the Middle School student’s essays and posters. Some are quotes excerpted from the High School students and the Town Planning Workshop participants. The Implementation chapter divider is a reproduction of the signature board from the two Town Planning Workshops. Dozens of people signed this sheet and it is presented herein in appreciation for all those who helped make this Plan a reality.
